Meeting with Bret Daghe

Lessons from the meeting:

"You cannot be bothered by all."

Do you avoid situations or meet them head on? Good leaders meet them head on. Think about both sides of a situation, address it, learn from it, and then MOVE ON!

Believe in your decision now. But every decision will be different tomorrow. Why? You have grown.

Always layer yourself by having others, assistsants, Deans, teachers address issues first so that you only address it once.

Put obstacles back on the people who caused them or on the people who must over come them. You as a leader can't accomplish achievements for others.

How open minded can you be at what others bring to you? Do you put up a wall or empathize and seek a solution? Do you allow your feelings to be hurt or help the person(s) resolve the issue?

Notes from church May 2, 2010

"Grace"
Pastor M. Knight

Story about a judge who saw a case where a grandmother stole a loaf of bread to feed her starving grandchildren. The grandmother had to either pay $10.00 or spend 10 days in jail. The judge fine the entire courtroom $.50. The woman went home with $47.50.

We can't pay our fine - God pays for it.

Repetition is a sign of a good teacher.

Repeating a skill is a sign of a good learner.

Do you love me? Then take care of my people.

Grace is to be shared.

God is big enough to work in others regardless of what we think of them.
